I don’t know too many people who don’t like a good avocado every now and then. I have been eating a lot of these little guys lately. It really is an amazing food. What do I like about avocados?
-They are a good, easily digestible, raw plant fat. They are a high calorie food that doesn’t take a lot of digestion to assimilate into your body. A medium avocado may have around 250 calories or large around 350.
-They have good amounts of vitamins. According to “worlds healthiest foods list,” they contain adequate amounts of vitamin K, folate, vitamin C, b5, b6, and potassium.
These are best in the late spring and summertime when the weather is hot. These are nice, cooling fats that discharge inflammation in the body.
Personally, I often just eat an avocado by itself as a meal with a little sea salt. Eating just one food at a time is often a good practice for long-term health. Of course there are exceptions to this rule for people with serious blood-sugar problems or hypoglycemia. Other ways to prepare avocados are in salsas and dips, diced up on salads, or wedges with vegetables or meat. Try a bit on your next egg scramble.
