Have you had cherries lately?
I’m talking about homegrown, dark cherries. Pit in. Not these bottled dead cherries that have been sitting on shelves for 6 months. Living fruit. What are the benefits of cherries? Well according to most sources, they are an excellent source of Vitamin C, so that is a plus. Other small amounts of vitamins also abound here. Is that all? Maybe or maybe not.
I do not know the science behind this but you will hear me saying this repeatedly.

Cancer fighters, immune boosters, enzymes, polyphenols, the list goes on and on. So cherries are in this group as well. How to enjoy cherries? I’m not really sure. I eat them by themselves in a bowl. Sitting outside in the sun with some fresh air also goes well with cherries =) Eat in season and local when possible.
