What are herbs eh? You might call them God’s medicines. You might call them flavorings or additives to help our food taste better. You might think of them as bitter things to stay away from. These all may be correct. But what about herbs versus HERBS? I am tired of supplements that are costing people boatloads of money. The supplements usually contain “herbs.” Let’s give a quick definition here.
herbs: Dried, old, ground up, lost potency, used to be fresh, taste old, etc.
HERBS: FRESH, ZINGY, POTENT, POWERFUL, CLEANSING, HEALING
What are most supplements? herbs. Powdered blends somebody has put together. Now don’t get me wrong, I believe there is always a place for supplementation. Especially when people just refuse to eat the good stuff. But if we want the best bang for our buck and our bodies; fresh is always best. What are some of the best herbs to use? It depends on your body, the season, and what your goals are. However, keeping stock of fresh herbs and spices around for everyday use is great. Having a juicer and a spice grinder on hand are also very helpful. Good options?
BEET GREENS, GARLIC, OREGANO, ROSEMARY, THYME, GINGER, CINNAMON, DANDELION GREENS, BITTER SALAD GREENS, PARSLEY, SAGE, BASIL, CLOVES, ETC.
There are many other herbs that don’t really work well in the kitchen. These include herbs that are generally a bit more potent and can be used in small quantities for cleansing the body.
HERBS can help us cleanse and heal the body. Let’s keep them around and ditch the herbs!
